This Cookie Policy explains how Boomirang Pty Ltd ("Boomirang", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit and use the Boomirang platform at boomirang.com.
By continuing to use the Platform, you consent to the use of cookies as described in this policy. You can manage your cookie preferences at any time — see Section 5 below.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to the website owners.
We also use similar technologies such as web beacons, pixels, and local storage, which function in a similar way to cookies. For simplicity, we refer to all of these as "cookies" in this policy.
2. Types of Cookies We Use
Essential Cookies
These cookies are strictly necessary for the Platform to function. Without them, you cannot log in, maintain a session, or access protected content. Essential cookies cannot be disabled — they are required for the service to operate.
Functional Cookies
Functional cookies remember your preferences and choices to provide a more personalised experience. For example, storing your watch progress so you can resume watching where you left off. These cookies are enabled by default but do not track you across external sites.
Analytics Cookies
We use analytics cookies to understand how visitors interact with the Platform — which pages are most visited, how long people spend watching, and which features are used most. This data is aggregated and anonymous; it does not identify you personally. We use this information to improve the Platform and content offerings.
Marketing Cookies
Boomirang does not currently use third-party advertising or retargeting cookies. We do not share your data with advertising networks. If this changes, we will update this policy and request your consent.

4. Third-Party Cookies
Boomirang does not embed third-party advertising or social media tracking cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar third-party tracking tools that profile you across the web.
Our infrastructure providers (Neon for database, Cloudflare for media delivery) may set technical cookies or use server logs for operational and security purposes. These are governed by their own privacy policies.
5. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You can control cookies in several ways:
Browser settings
Most browsers allow you to view, delete, and block cookies through their settings. Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging in to Boomirang. Common browser cookie management:

- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Cookies and website data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data
Account settings
You can manage certain data preferences from your Boomirang account settings, including clearing your watch history.
6. Do Not Track
Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature. Because there is no universal standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals, Boomirang does not currently respond to DNT browser signals. However, our data practices remain minimal and described in this policy regardless of DNT settings.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
